- A luxury tree house accommodation that is anything but ordinary

Beausejour House is an exercise in tropical architecture.  It integrates natural life into modern living, from the non-intrusive tree house design and the blurring of indoor and outdoor space, to the use of Honduran hard woods and innovative natural metal stain techniques.  The foundations of the house incorporate the ruins of old plantation structures including the old copra house, which in its new decorative incarnation is the main feature of the front garden.

There are four semi-detached bedroom suites that meander through the garden property.  All are fully air conditioned and with separate living space and en suite baths.  The master bedroom and deck looks out over Gros Piton rising from the Caribbean Sea, and features a small side bedroom ideal for young children.  The Tamarind room, across an aerial boardwalk, is so named for the cluster of tamarind trees that preside over the deck, giving the suite a tree house ambience.  There is the India Room named for its rich eastern décor and wood carving features, which enjoys a large communal space that looks out over the tree tops and beyond to the base of the Piton.  The en suite bath opens out onto a secluded deck and offers both an indoor and outdoor shower option.  The highest level of the house is Cherry Tree, a spacious bedroom suite with a large lounging deck.

Beausejour is outfitted with a state-of- the- art commercial kitchen and several dining spaces from the casual breakfast nook indoors, to the stately India dining room in an outdoor gazebo.  A small swimming pool skirts one of the outdoor living rooms and is fed by rock cascade from a source further up on the property.  Beausejour House is also equipped with wi-fi throughout, and three of the four bedrooms feature flat screen televisions.

Staff

Juliana is a wiz at Creole cuisine and will cater during your stay at Beausejour House.  Her colleague Mary is retained full-time to take care of all housekeeping needs, and a team of grounds men keep the estate in good working order.

Special Events

By special request, the staff at Beausejour can arrange an India-themed dinner party, filled with the sensory celebration that the sub-continent inspires. Drape yourself in the vivid fabrics for which India is known and enjoy a sumptuous feast of specially prepared Indian favourites. Under a blanket of stars, the warm glow of lamps and the sound of the sitar, celebrate in the West like you are in the East.

• A 32 foot motor boat with a professional captain for tours, excursions to the north, and whale watching @ USD 500 p/day
• A 4WD safari buggy with a driver for use within Beau Estate and to the nearby Tides at Sugar Beach Resort @ USD 100 p/day
